Contributing to the SDGs

We believe it is critical to provide dependable IT services as Broadleaf is profoundly involved in essential IT infrastructure for society, namely with automotive aftermarket enterprises.
Based on this premise, we will continue to fulfill our role as an IT service provider by the initiatives listed below, with an eye on the development of the cautomotive after-sales service field in our efforts to achieve the SDGs.
1) contributing to the realization of a mobile society where everyone can live comfortably and safely
2) building a sustainable, recycling-oriented society
and
3) realizing a society that emphasizes equality and diversity
We are actively working to solve various social issues while fulfilling our role as an IT service provider.

Social Issues

To help realize the Japanese government‘s “Dynamic Engagement of All Citizens” initiative, we promote fair and equitable business practices for stakeholders involved in business activities to correct inequalities in opportunities and treatment.

Vision Broadleaf's Vision

We respect diversity and contribute to realizing a diverse and inclusive society by building an attractive work environment where each and every employee can achieve their potential.
We also build solid partnerships based on mutual trust with all stakeholders and fulfill our social responsibilities through fair and equitable business activities.

Mission Broadleaf’s Initiatives

In order to thoroughly create a culture and climate that respects the "individual" without discrimination or harassment, we promote mutual respect and understanding by preparing various regulations and implementing e-learning.
In addition, to realize flexible work styles that match the life stages of our employees and the way they relate to society, we promote a corporate culture that facilitates the use of leave for childcare and nursing care, as well as a workplace that allows employees to work shorter hours, work from home, and telework.
Furthermore, in order to maintain fair and equitable business activities, we have implemented various regulations and e-learning on ethics and compliance.

Driving Digital Transformation (DX) in the Automotive Aftermarket to Support a Mobile Society with Lags in Transportation Infrastructure Development

Vision Broadleaf's Vision

With the rise of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to reduce environmental impact and the spread of IoT and automated driving, we will provide high-quality IT services promptly so that these next-generation mobility systems are properly inspected and tested.
We aim to contribute to a mobile society where everyone can live safely by offering services that can be used by any business, large or small, engaged in the automotive after-sales service industry.
Additionally, as an IT service provider that builds social infrastructure, we will build a robust network system in anticipation of disasters and ensure rapid recovery.
Moreover, we aim to solve social issues by building public mobility services for anyone in developing countries and investing in the MaaS domain.

Mission Broadleaf’s Initiatives

Through Broadleaf Cloud Platform, a digital business platform to enable IT innovation, we are promoting efforts to implement data services such as recall prediction through large-scale, high-speed analysis of inspection and testing data.
Additionally, the integration of business APIs/SDKs has allowed us to deploy services in a short period of time, and we are making rapid progress in our attempts to establish services that can be utilized by any businesses involved in the automotive aftermarket.
Moreover, in collaboration with our subsidiary Zenmov, we are working to support the construction of public transportation infrastructure in developing countries through IT, such as by conducting a demonstration experiment in the Philippines for a short-distance transportation service using the Broadleaf Cloud Platform.

Building a sustainable
recycling-oriented society

Social Issues

Lack of recycling of auto parts for zero-emission vehicles

Vision Broadleaf's Vision

Establishing an environmentally friendly recycling-oriented society is one of the key subjects for Broadleaf as one of the IT integrators in the automotive aftermarket.
Broadleaf promotes environmental protection by reducing natural resource consumption and waste as well as environmentally hazardous substances by recycling, reusing, and rebuilding automotive aftermarket parts as much as possible in consideration of the car's life cycle (zero-emission), thereby recycling resources throughout society.

Mission Broadleaf’s Initiatives

After the Law for the Recycling of End-of-Life Vehicles (End-of-Life Vehicle Recycling Law) took effect in 2005, efforts to reuse automotive aftermarket parts have been intensified in the automotive aftermarket.
Broadleaf operates an online marketplace to distribute reusable parts from discarded automotive in collaboration with recycling companies.
In addition, we promote zero emissions by providing an IT service that allows automobile owners, or end-users, to inquire about the pricing and availability of new and used parts when they need to replace them.

What are the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

In September 2015, all 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all — laying out a path over the next 15 years to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet. At the heart of “Agenda 2030” are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which clearly define the world we want — applying to all nations and leaving no one behind.
